shop.padi.com/product/rescueWhat is the PADI Rescue Diver Course?
Scuba divers describe the PADI Rescue Diver course as the most challenging, yet most rewarding course they’ve ever taken. Why? Because you learn to prevent and manage problems in the water, and become more confident in your skills as a diver, knowing that you can help others if needed. During the course, you learn to become a better buddy by practicing problem solving skills until they become second nature. Plus, the course is just fun – it’s serious, but still allows for lots of laughter in between the focused learning.
Who should take this course?
You need to have done at least the PADI Adventure Diver Course including the Navigation speciality but most people will have done the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course. You will also need to have the Emergency First Response course including Primary & Secondary Care with AEU and Emergency Oxygen use (or other equivalent first aid course) but we can do that for you in 1 day if you don't have it. Most people want to do the Rescue Course to give them confidence that they can look after themselves and their buddies better and ensure they know what to do in an emergency situation. It is a necessary step to becoming a PADI Pro as well so if you have plans on becoming a PADI Divemaster or PADI Instructor then this is the next step for you.
What will you learn?
The PADI Rescue Diver course prepares you to deal with dive emergencies, minor and major, using a variety of techniques.
